Minister of Industry, Vrej Sabounjian, met Wednesday with the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, who presented him with an official invitation to visit Moscow next May.
Sabounjian deemed such a visit as "very important," for it would aim at entrenching the economic ties between Lebanon and Russia, in line with the "excellent" bilateral relations on the political level.
"There are too many expectations which we can build upon with a country like Russia and the countries that were once part of the Soviet Union. The increasing growth in a big number of European countries is mainly due to the growth in Russia," he said.
Zasypkin visited the Minister accompanied by a delegation comprising Ivan Sergei and Jack Sarraf from the Lebanese-Russian businessmen association, and a number of Russian businessmen.
On the other hand, Sabounjian held a meeting with the Head of the Industrialists Association, Nehme Efram, in preparation for the economic dialogue table to convene tomorrow at the Grand Serail.
